Entomology Internship: The Beginning

Hello All,

Today is June 21 2019,

My internship mates and I begin our journey by learning more about the endeavor. The world of bugs is waiting for us, and we cannot wait!

We met with Mel, who has been in our footsteps before. She enlightened us by sharing her experience of her time in her internship. Mel also answered our burning questions, revealing us of our anxious thoughts.

During this training day, we played a bug game and looked at various air quality maps, in hopes to prepare us to be inquisitive. This habit of asking questions should help us gain the most information and have the best experience!

Although I am slightly nervous, at least I am assured that I am not blindly jumping to the unknown. Excitement is overcoming me as the day we start is slowly approaching.
